Transforming the Creative Sector: A Path to Sustainable Innovation in Vocational Education and Training

The creative sector has long been a vibrant and dynamic industry, driving innovation, cultural expression, and economic growth. However, the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic have highlighted the need for transformation and adaptation within this sector. In response to these challenges, the INTERACTION project has emerged as a beacon of hope, aiming to promote the eco-transformation of the creative sector towards a new modernized vision.

At the heart of the INTERACTION project lies a commitment to integrating sustainability and green growth into every aspect of the labor market. By focusing on educating key actors in the creative industry, the project seeks to enhance the flexibility of opportunities in vocational creative education and training. Central to this endeavor is the use of European culture and heritage as a vehicle for change, drawing on the rich tapestry of traditions and innovations that define the continent.

Through a series of activities, including academic and empirical research, focus groups, art cafes, and the development of educational resources, the INTERACTION project aims to create tangible results that will shape the future of the creative sector. These results include the creation of an educational entrepreneurial canvas on sustainable creativity and circular economy issues, a VET-Framework of Key competences in the creative industry, an interactive educational e-platform, and a short film exploring the intersection of art, sustainability, and European culture.

Partnerships play a crucial role in the success of the INTERACTION project, with organizations from North Macedonia, Greece, Poland, Cyprus, and Lithuania coming together to share expertise, resources, and best practices. By working collaboratively, these partners are able to leverage their collective strengths and create a lasting impact on the vocational education and training landscape.

As the project progresses, it is clear that the potential benefits extend far beyond the immediate outcomes. By developing long-term strategies for the integration and maintenance of project results, the INTERACTION project is laying the groundwork for a sustainable and innovative future for the creative sector. Through promotional campaigns, seminars, artistic evenings, and multiplier events, the project aims to engage a wide audience and inspire lasting change in the industry. As we look towards the future, the lessons learned from the INTERACTION project will undoubtedly shape the way we approach vocational education and training in the years to come.
