Precious Plastic Cyprus focuses on creating alternative solutions by repurposing local plastic waste.
This initiative continuously functions through experimenting, building and re-creating items using waste. Precious Plastic Cyprus is part of the global initiative of Precious Plastic which openly offers a solution to the endless problem called plastic waste. Their workshop space is located in Dali, Nicosia.
They also offer various workshops such as:
- Recycle It Yourself using PP machines – Using the Precious Plastic machines user becomes familiar with the recycling process
- Plastic bag workshop – Learning how a single-use plastic bag can be recycled into a long-lasting bag or wallet.
- Art from Trash – Unleashing creativity making artifacts from waste materials.
- Musical Instruments – Making music from repurposed materials.
- Art Masks – making playful masks using plastic and other materials from trash for both decorative and in use.
- Public Art Intervention – Creating a mural or building a bench supporting the local community and leaving a mark behind.
- Game simulation on Environmental Education for children and schools.
- Environmental Education and informative training for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) and on policy-making for businesses and organizations.
